Ellen Simper's Biography
She says she was born on a Pecan Farm, a nut farm, which euphemistically explains why she has all of the idiosyncrasies that drive her pursuits in life. Having artistic tendencies is a fun and pleasant way to live, allowing the gifts from God to drive artful activities, to explore and discover things about our world that are enriching. It is "catching" - even the left-brained, thinkers, math-whizzes can observe the aesthetics of life around us, gaining momentum from the math challenged artistic wackos. Ellen comes from a family with artistic leanings, talents abundant in art, music and writing. Each of these gifts have been explored and found enthusing to artist and the observer alike. An art teacher indicated that oil painting is the art of the refined. Painting develops an eye for aesthetics, an appreciation for the beauties of the world in which we live. Art in its many forms can develop refinement to the degree that the art touches the soul of the observer. Ellen and her husband, Dan live in Northeast Arizona and have been married almost 40 years. They are the parents of 6 children and almost one dozen grandchildren. The touch of Art and Insight is something every person needs. In our lives, without a touch of art, a touch of creativity, without the touch of beauty, the touch of wonder, the touch of God, we are incomplete. |
